Picking The Right Slackline

Which Slackline Is Best For You?

When it comes to picking the right slackline it can be a daunting task but never fear, we've got you covered! First and foremost we'd like to say that there is no wrong choice, you can learn on just about any type of slackline out there. Some people start with 1-inch slacklines and others with 2-inch. Some people like loose slacklines and some like tight slacklines. Some people like short slackline and some people like long slacklines. The point is whatever slackline you choose, you will be able to learn on it. However, it's generally accepted that the easiest way to learn is on a line that is short, tight and low.

The Base Line and the Play Line are perfect beginner slacklines for starting out. The Play Line also comes with the Help Line, which is an overhead line that offers additional assistance while learning proper form.

If you are looking to getting into "tricklining" you will want to turn your attention to the Trick Line Kit, Aggro Line Kit and Boss Line Kit. Each of those lines is made of different webbing than the Base Line and Play Line. The webbing is more like a trampoline mterial and will help with bouncing and jumping on the line. In tricklining the slacklines see higher tensions and so we've included a Backup Line as an added safety measure. Between those three kits, the main difference is in the tension systems. The Trick Line uses the same ratchet system as the Base Line and Play Line which is ideal for beginning dynamic tricks. The Aggro Line Kit and Boss Line Kit use the Alpha ratchet which help achieve a higher tension for bigger and more advanced tricks. The Boss Line takes it a step further by adding a second Alpha ratchet for even more power needed for professional-level tricks. This kit comes with round slings and shackles to safely anchor the ratchets.

Lastly we come to our "Webbing Only" lines, the Trick Line and Boss Line. These slacklines are meant to be used in double ratchet systems like the Boss Line Kit or along side more complicated systems like pulley setups. Each line is 100ft long which is perfect for a challenge and the aspiring pros out there.
